Most  people think the agent they are working with is working on their side. But, unless they are working as your Exclusive Buyer Agent, they could actually be working on the Seller's side, or for both you and the Seller at the same time (i.e., "Dual Agency").

Your real estate agent should only represent you, the Buyer, EXCLUSIVELY. Law firms do not represent both parties in transactions. Neither should your real estate agent!

There is much more to purchasing a home than just finding the "right house". Traditional real estate agents show homes (often their own listings) and try to persuade you to buy them. They work for the Seller. Their objective is to sell the property to you at the highest possible price.
